About the Role

As the Quality Control Officer, you will be responsible for all quality control administrative functions within the manufacturing facility, including but not limited to process management, documentation control, validation & certification, non-conformance, calibration and reporting. You will also be required to supervise the Goods Inwards Inspection department, supporting the team in carrying out their daily activities, managing absence and performance.


Process Management:

  • Supporting QA & QC Managers with internal and external ISO9001 audits.

  • Lead all routine compliance audits such as EN61010 (ETL).

  • Admin - Create statistical reports. Manage admin relating to QC training, including plans for the team.


Staff Supervision:

  • Manage the workload and performance of QC administration and Goods Inwards Inspection teams.

  • Holiday/absence requests. Annual team appraisals. Identify training needs.

  • Assist the team with any escalated enquires/issues.


Validation & Certification:

  • To include; product validation manuals, creation of product certification (Conformance, Test, Calibration, FAT), filing management for supply chain conformity certification, management and control of all master files relating to validation requirements.


Supply Chain Non-Conformance:

  • Support the Quality Engineer to ensure all non-conformances are processed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate with Purchasing & Production Admin teams to ensure efficient return of faulty components to the supply chain.

  • Support the QC Manager in managing supply chain performance.

  • Chair supply chain non-conformance meetings.


Documentation Management:

  • Organise and manage all controlled documentation within the department, such as test instructions, drawings. Manage the archiving of all QC test documentation. Manage the creation and update of Quality Control work instructions. Create, update, and maintain Quality Control process templates and forms.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has an interest in Quality and Manufacturing and is able to demonstrate the following skillset and attributes:


  • Previous experience within an administration management role, preferably within QA or QC.

  • Full appreciation & awareness of ISO9001.

  • Dedicated to maintaining high quality standards at all times, without compromise.

  • Analysing data and publishing statistical based reports.

  • Ability to communicate across all business levels and interpret technical language.

  • Ability to influence and motivate others.

  • Able to work under pressure and to aggressive deadlines.

  • Advanced level in word processing & spreadsheets. Familiarity with Google Suite Apps such as Docs, Sheets, Slides.

  • Excellent database management skills.
