About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic People Development Advisor to coordinate all early careers within the business. You will be building relationships across the business to ensure all new early careers entrants are being supported and achieving their objectives.
Support the relationship between Early Career Researchers and their supervisors
Manage and support the People Development Administrator
Continuously improve the experience of early-career researchers, designing and delivering new development opportunities
Work collaboratively with PhD stakeholders including funding providers
Support early-career researchers progress and wellbeing, using this to inform strategy, policies and procedures
Represent early-career researcher experiences and interests
Provide general support to supervisors in the recruitment of Postgraduate Researchers, including ED&I best practice in interview and selection
Lead 1-to-1 coaching sessions with Research Associates at key milestones in their posts, handling confidential information sensitively
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging others and who is proactive in their approach, not afraid to make suggestions and implement new ideas and ways of working.
Be prepared to design and deliver new development resources
Be able to deal with Early Career Researcher and supervisor concerns and enquires
Confidently collect, analyse and report on data
Confidently communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including the provision of data and reports to Senior Management
Independently manage a varied workload
Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving
Be flexible and approachable with a proactive and pragmatic approach
Able to operate autonomously, seeking advice where appropriate, as well as be able to work effectively as part of a team, taking the lead as and when appropriate
Possess excellent IT skills
