About the Role
To provide a broad range of accounting support to the Financial Controller. You will have responsibility for the following areas:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for Purchase Ledger coding, entries and scheduling payments
Calculating and entering prepayments and accruals
Preparation of the BACS payments for purchase ledger, salaries and ad hoc payments for authorisation by the Financial Controller.
Keeping the cash book and reconciling to Bank Statements
Bank reconciliations
Entering cash book expense payments and petty cash.
Journal Entry
Assist with the analysis of the monthly management accounts variances
Assisting with Cash Flows
Maintaining and arranging for the engineers subscriptions to be paid in a timely manner
Expenses, Mileage Payments and health insurance calculation for the monthly payroll
Ad hoc support to the Group Finance Controller as required
Requirements
We are looking for an experience Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper who works well in a small team. The role is offered on a Part-Time bases (25 hours per week) with flexibility on days/hours to suit the applicant.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of organisational skills and great attention to detail
The ability to work independently, as well as working well within a team
Ability to manage own workload within agreed time scale
Proactive approach to work taking initiative where needed
